There is an oath among doctors to "do no harm." I wish this upon mankind in general. I will let you live your life if you will let me live mine. Don't push a stick in my spokes and I'll afford you the same courtesy. If we could maintain this social agreement, we'd all be quite happy on this earth.

Come to think of it, that sounds a lot like: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Someone great once said that. And then they killed him.

It has always amazed me that all of mankind shares the same things. We all have the same blood, the same organs, the same love of family, the same thresholds of pain, and the same ability to wonder about God. We are so engineered to love each other. But we don't. We fight, envy, steal, covet and outright hate each other.

God help us. Jesus saves.
