Atomun - Space Debris
描述
Welcome to Automun - TeleSUR's program on science and technology in Latin America, focusing on the human side of science and technology at the service of progress. Today's program, hosted by Denny Perez, begins with "Out of Orbit", the story of Russian satellite Kosmos-1400, launched in 1982, which although inoperative for a decade, just fell to Earth. This raises the question of "space debris". An estimated 50,000 objects greater than 1 cm classified as space debris are orbiting the Earth; then it's on to Brazil, the regional leader in science and technology, with Latin America's most advanced space program and the most automated banking system in the world. Large government investments in Internet infrastructure have democratized access to the world wide web. All these advances reaffirm Brazil's role as a regional power. teleSUR
