And that bell will be rung 33 times tonight,… a tradition with the bell-ringing ceremony there.
As to why that's 33 times,… the reason dates all the way back to Joseon Dynasty as Bosingak Belfry was used to ring that many times at 4 AM,… signaling the start of the day and opening city gates.

The bell itself dates to the 15th century... and it's been in that spot since the early 17th century.
