CSXT H774 heads east about an hour later with good power: an EMD SD40-2 running solo. This guy was really slugging it out as he tried to get 39 cars going. A wide variety of cargo is on this train, coal gondolas, boxcars, grain hoppers, and even some three-bay ortner aggregate hoppers, this is the closest I've gotten to seeing a loaded rock train on this line! This particular 40-2 is actually a former Chicago & Northwestern (C&NW) unit. Very nice!
