The sounds of the evening filter into my room
Luring me into sleep.
The crickets chirp a lullaby
Coaxing my eyes closed.
Drawing me deeper into another part of myself.
The side that I yearn for.
The passionate alter ego
That's suppressed.
Hidden.
Where emotions run rampant.
Burning, changing, melding, colliding.
Dreams of dreams
Of hope and pain
Of fear and love
Twisting and turning
The night away.
