Day 2 - Bruson

The highlight of the 2013 FWQ competition season is most probably the Verbier Qualifier Week.
It will be organized by the Freeride World Tour crew between the 14th and the 20th of January 2013.
This full week of freeride competition will allow amateur riders to score 3 FWQ results, all in one week and shall give the possibility to a great number of riders to enter the FWQ ranking and seeding list.
Last year, over 1000 riders created a profile on the FWT inscription platform. However, only about 450 could actually participate at FWQ events. Some of you even had to travel across Europe to enter in a 1* or 2* FWQ.
The Verbier Freeride Week is there to provide a solution to this huge demand.
We will organize 6 competitions over 7 days and will accept in priority, riders who will inscribe for the whole week, even those who don’t have any FWQ points.
Riders will be able to enter a maximum of 3 events ; either Monday, Wednesday and Saturday or Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
The spots not used by riders attending to the whole week, will be distributed as usual, using the seeding list, for riders willing to enter in only one or two events.
There will be 100 starting places per competition day and the inscription price will be of 80€ per competition, plus the evacuation insurance.
The events will unfold on faces selected by Cyril Neri, 3 times winner of the Verbier Xtreme and Claude-Alain Gailland, head guide and head of security of the Xtreme. These faces will be chosen from the great choice of terrain to be found in the whole Verbier St-Bernard destination, in resorts such as Verbier, Bruson, La Tsoumaz and Vichères.
Furthermore, there will be a big freeride ski and snowboard test held over the weekend, with over 10 brands participating.
Since riders will be competing only every second day, we will organize parties at night to assure a great athmosphere over the whole week.
