Top prostate cancer surgeon, Dr. David Samadi, shares a new study of 75,000 people showing the effectiveness of acupuncture in treating certain medical conditions. This 16th century Chinese medicine was believed to increase positive energy flow, but today evidence suggests that the technique can be effective in treating pain by causing the brain to release endorphins. Acupuncture is used to treat a range of conditions such as low back pain, migraine headaches, tennis elbow, allergies, and obesity. Dr. Samadi believes that for some patients acupuncture can be an effective therapy when used in combination with other modern medical treatments. He encourages viewers to seek acupuncture only from experienced physicians.
