The word would be nefarious,
they leave you with your plight.

Ascorbate, it turns out to be
can cure some vile conditions,
you buy it for a modest fee
and it is your decision.

So, do you wonder, unlike me
if Pauling could be right
by saying that Ascorbate-C
will help you win your fight.

Big Pharma though would lose too much
if people help themselves,
prescription medicines as such
would stay on chemists' shelves.

The cure for even one disease
when found outside the square,
will trigger a 'desist and cease'
the system wants its share.

It is a shame, this awesome greed,
like gouging out one's eyes.
Earth has become a killing field
and no one hears the cries.
