Lutung (also known as langur) is a group of Old World monkeys that make up the genus Trachypithecus. Langurs are mainly distributed in Southeast Asia.
Typically, langurs have one litter, with a gestation period of seven months. One of the highlights of this monkey is its golden-coloured offspring, which are reared by all females in the group. As they grow older, the golden colour of their hair fades to darker and darker until they reach adulthood at 4-5 years of age. This animal can live up to 20 years.
