How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? In Japan, the girls buy the guys a box of chocolates, but the guy’s don’t buy the girls anything! The guys return the favor on White Day. This year I bought my husband a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, his favorite! We’ll see if he gets me anything for V Day, or if he partakes in the Japanese modern day tradition.

I created this tutorial as a way to re-use your Valentine’s Day chocolate box and wrappers! I bought a small box of chocolates so that I would only have to make 4 cats. If you have a bigger box you can fill it with hearts or just make more cats! The possibilities are endless.

I made 4 cats using this basic recipe: 2 grams for base, and 0.5 grams for each ear. You will also need 2 eye pins per cat, or you can use black wool for the eyes. You will also need black wool for the nose and mouth - no more than 0.5 grams.

Fred 프레드:
2 g orange wool for base 오렌진 양모, 머리
1 g orange wool for ears (each ear is about 0.5 grams) 오렌지 양모 귀
less than 0.5 g tan wool for stripes 살색 양모 줄무늬
less than 0.5 black wool for facial details 검은 양모 얼굴 모양

Sunny 써니:
2 g white wool for base 흰 양모 머리
0.5 g black wool for ear and facial details 검은 양모 귀, 얼구 디테일
1 g orange wool for ear and patch 오렌지 양모 귀 얼굴 부분
less than 0.5 g black wool for facial details 검은 양모 얼구 디테일

Ginger 진저:
2 g salmon wool for base 오렌지/연어색 양모 머리
1 g white wool for ears (each ear is about 0.5 grams) 흰 양모 귀
less than 0.5 g black wool for facial details 검은 야모 얼굴 디테일

Misty 미스티:
2 g gray wool for base 회색 양모 머리
1 g gray wool for ears (each ear is about 0.5 grams) 회색 귀
less than 0.5 black wool for facial details and stripes 검은색 얼굴 디테일 , 줄무늬


Additional materials:
chocolate box (empty with wrappers)
glue
awl
eye pins


Time Required per cat: approximately 20 minutes
10 minutes for base
10 minutes for ears, face and other details
