Residents of Barrackpore and environs executed a second day of fiery roadblocks on Tuesday.
The protests came hours after the Ministry of Works criticised protestors calling them "irresponsible and unpatriotic" people, who could face charges following police investigations.
As reporter Cindy Raghubar-Teekersingh tells us, the entire community saw a heightened police presence on Tuesday, with the area's Member of Parliament even being warned at one of the sites.
