windows

shadows
paused
poised
against the brumous lip
of the splintered edge
indecision
indecipherable
in the sunlit corner
near the ethereal sedge

enemy children in rented halos
taciturn god splayed away from me
what am I to do
to say
to be
without peace I beg for murder
left to the decedent beast
left to the solicitous dreams
blood and life
rest and strife
