Streets are blanketed in snow with residents doing what they can to make their way around the city.

School has been canceled for many children -- offering a rare treat.

"We woke up to a white morning. It's a lot of fun, vacation, no school which is great fun, right? We are enjoying ourselves."
In central Israel a woman is knocked over by strong winds.
In Jerusalem residents make their way through the streets with more bad weather in the forecast.
Waves crash along the Gaza Strip port as wind and rain ravage Gaza city.
The approaching storm threatens to deepen the misery in the Gaza Strip -- already marked by a 50-day war with Israel last summer.
Thousands live in U.N. shelters and damaged homes.
