FaceCulture spoke with Tricky about his upcoming album False Idols, signing the wrong record deal, working for the label, saving songs, creative control, being spoilt by the music industry, getting dropped, not being restricted, False Idols, having something to say, success v happiness, inexistence of fame, people that need a life, the media, one direction, legens of music, when hip hop sold out, a messiah for the masses, Bob Marley, Tupac, negative role models, privatized prisons, a country run by corporations, starting a new chapter, being happy, his music transcending him, Nothing's Changed, being on the same level as everyone else, his mother's suicide, not knowing his mother, grandparents, his father, a gypsy family, not wanting to cut songs, collaborations, Francesca Belmonte, Nneka and a lot more!
