The music of "8964" is rendered in a 12-tone "Quad Tetradic Scale"; My own nomenclature for this extended Just Tuning.
The imagery was generated by plotting Lyapunov Exponents, as outlined by A. K. Dewdney in The Tinkertoy Computer, using the algorithmic sequence bbbbcaaaacaaaacbbbb. The variable b is the y axis, ranging from 3.0 to 3.45, a is the x-axis, ranging from 2.0 to 3.6, and c is the time-sequential variable, ranging from 2.0 to 3.0. Colors are from the gnuplot colormap.
