Joseph Lee McCreary Jr. (born November 6, 1962), known professionally as Foley is best known for his tenure as the "lead bassist" in Miles Davis's final band from 1987 to 1991. During this period, he performed over 650 shows and appeared on key albums such as Amandla (1989) and Live Around the World (1992).
Lead Bass Technique: Foley is famous for playing a piccolo electric bass tuned one octave higher than a standard bass.
