Tutorial #2 - Importing Existing Wallets
描述
In this tutorial you will learn how to import your existing BitShares wallets.
It’s also great to know how this works if you’re a NEW OpenLedger user, in case you need to import your backed up wallet at a later time.
First, point your web browser to openledger.info
Click the “Enter Exchange” button, here.
Then click “existing accounts”, here
Now you have three options. Let’s go through ‘em.
The first one : “Import Backup” is the one you need if you’ve backed up recent version of the BitShares wallet.
The second one “Import from BitShares 0.9.3”. … that one’s useful if you have an old wallet from before the summer of 2015.
The third option simply sends you back to the wallet creation screen in case you’ve changed your mind. Or when you realise you don’t have a backup. (Please don’t be that guy, ok ?)
The wallet importing process is the same for both versions, so let’s pick the first option to show you how this works.
Click “Import Backup”.
Select the wallet file that you have downloaded in the previous tutorial.
Click “open”.
Enter your password.
Click “verify”
Your wallet is now ready to restore. So let’s do that… click “restore”.
Click “done”
And finally, click on the “dashboard” button.
Great! You’ve successfully imported your existing wallet.
